App Store screenshot sizes
Every size App Store Connect accepts, for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Vision Pro and Apple Watch. Checked against Apple's specification on 17 October 2026.
The short answer
Upload these and App Store Connect scales them down for every other iPhone and iPad. PNG or JPEG, no transparency, 1 to 10 per display size and language.

Rules for every screenshot
- FormatPNG or JPEG. HEIC and WebP are rejected.
- TransparencyNo transparency or alpha channel. Export PNGs without alpha or use JPEG.

- Exact pixelsA screenshot has to match one accepted size exactly, in either orientation for iPhone and iPad.

Questions
What size should App Store screenshots be?
1320 × 2868 pixels for iPhone (6.9" display, portrait) or 2868 × 1320 in landscape. If your app runs on iPad, add 2064 × 2752 for the 13" iPad. App Store Connect scales these down for every smaller iPhone and iPad.
Which screenshot sizes are required?
Apple requires screenshots for the medium Dynamic Island iPhones (6.3" and 6.1"), but fills that slot by scaling down a 6.5" or 6.9" set, so one 6.9" set covers every iPhone. iPad apps also need the 13" iPad size. Mac, Apple TV, Apple Vision Pro and Apple Watch apps each need their own.
How many screenshots can I upload?
From 1 to 10 per display size and language. The first three appear in search results, so they do most of the work.
Why does App Store Connect reject my screenshots?
Usually for one of three reasons: the pixel size doesn't match an accepted size exactly, the PNG has an alpha channel, or the file isn't PNG or JPEG. Drop the file into the checker above to see which.
Do I need screenshots for iPhone Duo?
From April 2027, apps built with the iOS 27.1 SDK or later need them: 1398 × 2034 for the folded outer display and 2007 × 2853 for the open inner display.
